About Rich’s Landscaping, Inc.

Rich’s Landscaping, Inc. was begun in 1982 as Rich’s Lawn Care in Horsham, Pennsylvania, by Richard Root, Jr. In the late 1980’s, Rich’s Lawn Care was incorporated and the name changed to Rich’s Landscaping, Inc. In the early 1990’s Rich’s Landscaping, Inc. began to enter the hardscaping end of landscape contracting. Rich really enjoyed this part of the business. In 1999, Rich’s Landscaping, Inc. stopped it’s mowing and maintenance division so Rich could concentrate on designing and building beautiful landscapes for his clientele. Rich began to focus heavily on hardscaping, designing and building paver patios, wakways, walls and driveways. Hardscaping and landscaping around these projects quickly became and remains about 95% of the business. When the business was incorporated in the late 1990’s, many names were considered to give the company a “big, professional feel” but Rich decided to keep it personal because that’s how he approaches his clients, on a personal level with personal attention to each project and every detail. It’s this personal touch that Rich enjoys and that constant feedback from clients proves that this approach yields the finest projects and the most satisfied client. Rich has continued to follow the advice his father gave him almost thirty years ago, “Do every job like you are doing it for me. If you do that, you will be very successful.” Like other advice from “Dad”, this could not be more true. Rich has continued to follow these values which has not only resulted in a positive life-long business but, just as importantly, resulted in countless satisfied clients and beautiful projects. Rich’s Landscaping, Inc. , over the last three decades, has become known in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties as one of the finest landscape construction companies to work with. About Rich

Richard Root, Jr. began Rich’s Lawn Care in 1982, in Horsham, Pennsylvania, as he was graduating from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Rich began his family and moved just north of Doylestown, Pennsylvania in the late 1980’s. Rich and his wife are raising four children. His oldest two son’s are attending and about to graduate. One will graduate from Temple University and is planning to join the family business. The other will graduate from Penn State University. His daughter is a freshman and is attending Penn State University as well. His youngest is attending High School. Rich is a big Flyers, Phillies and Eagles fan. But, Rich’s favorite past time is being with his family and especially being with his wife, watching any one of his four children playing ice hockey.
